Island Heron Yoga
Rest & Reset Retreat Participant Agreement

This Retreat Participant Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Island Heron LLC ("Organizer") and the undersigned participant ("Participant") for the Rest & Reset Retreat in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.

By registering for this retreat, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Reservation & Payment

My reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the required non-refundable deposit.

I agree to make all remaining payments according to the payment schedule provided at registration. Failure to make payments by the due dates may result in cancellation of my reservation.

2. Cancellation Policy

I acknowledge that I have read and agree to Island Heron Yoga's Cancellation & Refund Policy.

3. Participation

I understand that participation in all retreat activities—including yoga, meditation, breathwork, excursions, hiking, swimming, and other optional activities—is voluntary. I am responsible for participating within my own abilities and for informing the retreat leaders of any limitations that may affect my participation.

4. Health & Medical Care

I affirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in this retreat.

I understand that I am responsible for my own health and medical needs during the retreat and will notify the Organizer of any significant medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that may affect my participation.

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the Organizer to obtain appropriate medical assistance if I am unable to do so. I understand that I am responsible for any related medical or transportation expenses.

5. Assumption of Risk

I understand that travel and participation in an international retreat involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, accidents, travel delays, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, and other unforeseen events.

I voluntarily assume these risks and accept full responsibility for my participation.

6. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Island Heron Yoga LLC, Coral Brown Gibney, guest teachers, assistants, contractors, the retreat venue, and their respective representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from my participation in the retreat, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Travel

I am responsible for obtaining a valid passport, meeting all entry requirements for Costa Rica, arranging my travel, and purchasing any desired travel insurance.

Island Heron Yoga is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, lost luggage, weather disruptions, or other travel-related issues beyond its control.

8. Photography

Photographs and video may be taken during the retreat for future educational or promotional purposes.

☐ I give permission for Island Heron Yoga to use photographs or video in which I may appear.

☐ I do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or video.

9. Respect for the Community

I understand that this retreat is intended to foster a supportive and respectful environment. I agree to treat fellow participants, retreat staff, and the property with care and respect throughout the retreat.

10. Agreement

I have read and understand this Agreement. I understand that it is a legally binding document and that by signing below I voluntarily agree to its terms.
